Ramadan has finished and today is the first day of Eid El Fitr.Eid El Fitr (عيد الفطر ), often abbreviated to Eid, is a Muslim holiday that marks the end of Ramadan, the Islamic holy month of fasting. Eid is an Arabic word meaning "festivity", while Fitr means "to break the fast" and so the holiday symbolizes the breaking of the fasting period.Eid El Fitr is a three day celebration and is sometimes called the "Smaller Eid" (العيد الصغير ).
Funny that the Eid comes along close to the date when i go back home.So i been preparing myself, not mentally per say but rather of packing, buying and decidinig what i will take back with me.As if not true but i have been here for a year,i can say it's a rollercoaster ride,i don't wanna repeat. And what it is more surprising is that THAT ride is not about to end,i feel somewhat excited.Life is amazing and it's amazing to be alive! Things happen in life, people grow up and change. Each one of us has thier own destiny, thier own path. The worst thing of all is not to continue.I can relate that life is about insisting, resisting and just keep on kicking and screaming.
Cut off my hair, doing lotsa laundry, organizing stuff, listening to not old music but from 3-5 years ago when i used to live here. Will take my favourite DVD's,music,my books (Not a reader though),some clothes.I will leave behind my anger,my hate and regret.I will leave behind without looking back,i will leave with a new attitude...a new attitude towards people, life and love.
Had to see my friend Anas Afane and say goodbye,it was nice to see him lol the last time i saw him was like last year when i got here but anyway we drove down to Gloria Jean and had some hot drinks,we talked a bit, reminisce about the old times,it's just seems like yesterday we were at school.Ah,i wish him the best of all to him and to all my friends....
Eid Mubarak to y'all
Inshallah yen3ad 3alena wou 3alekom!
Warm greetings~
These last days were undigestable.I been sick, with stomach acid killing me but eh,im all right now...Oh and Ramadan tomorrow will have only 7 days left.
Wrote a new arabic poem, which i earlier today i made it into a Youtube video, wrote the translation over the Poem section. It's called "Law Inak Ad Nafsak" meaning "If You Are Brave Enough".It bascially about rejection, about a person who doesn't have the nerve to be face to face and say what they really feel or what they are intending to do.And being cool about thier reply, not taking it in a harsh way or personally! One ought to learn from the mistakes that were done in order to not fall into the same holes next time.
Rejection is not easy but the sooner you start dealing with it,distracting your mind and doing things like listening to new music, watch a funny movie or just as it's my case excorsied those feelings of despair and sadness, the better you will get.For me writing is my therapy.
Today after posting "Law Inak Ad Nafsak" came upon a band i like very much, called "Bowling For Soup",so there's this video from Yahoo music, they did a cover of Fergie's "London Bridge" which was hilarious....
Hancock was quick i think,i get the impression that scenes were cut out.The movie was short,as if not well-thought.Although it was bad-ass,had a big sense of humor and realistic.Taking a normal superhero who just lives among people with his own issues. It added some sort of connection, that Hancock doesn't transform or need to drink or get angry or even wear a costume to able him to become a hero,he is just a normal guy like eveybody else who has super strength. The cast were all suitable for thier parts. Each one of them did thier job in the story just fine. The story had twists and turns,it left you puzzled and excited. It was cool,a new adventure superhero,a good effort! 6/10!
Mummy 3 was a huge disappointment,i wasn't surprised at all since i never saw any of the previous "Mummy" movies, there is a talk about another 3 movies with the "Mummy"! Brendan Fraser is nowhere funny or serious in his acting,i just couldn't buy that he is now a father!
The new character of "Evy" was poor and not deep and distracting.Loved Jet Li and Michel Yeoh ather than that this movie is not that big of a thing. The VFX were great but that's all.You can't expect much from this,it's a cliche' now!
Yesterday the 19th,i was invited to have some supper.Went out and walked around, listening to my MP3.Tried to reach someone i newly met and liked, couldn't get together for whatever reason.Tried to contact athers but all were busy, went to the Albaraka Mall, was about to keep reading "The Zahir" but bought a ticket for "The Dark Knight",since i didn't watch it ever since it got out (Almost two months now) and i always wanted to see in the movies which should be an experience, wanted to get on DVD but it was never clear and cool.Waited in the lounge but found out that the movie was about to begin,so i couldn't read the book!
So i get in but went out to buy a drink and chocolate, sat down and watched the whole thing.
-Extraordinare,glorious,interesting,mind- blowing,adventureous,packed with adrenaline.It was great,awesome.Smart script,outstanding preformances,cool effects,perfect soundtrack,terrific action scenes and story!
It's one of the best done movies i saw for quite sometime. It shows that all the work in it was worth it all....now one of my favourite! 10/10 ALL THUMBS UP!
is my review, although i didn't like that they replaced Katie H. with Maggie G. for me it was a little bit distracting. There was some untrue facts that they squezzed into the script such as Harvey Dent evolution and transformation but all in all, loved all the movie!
Went out of the cinema at 12:14 so i guess it was 2 hour and a half long. The mall was partially closed, took a leak, walked down, took a cap and went home!
Did some alteration to my pictures with The Joker make up and posted them as my display on messenger and Facebook, visited "The Dark Knight" website and the "whysoserious.com" too,i totally fell in love with the soundtrack and want to get it!
Will be watching Hancock soon tonight.....under a lot of stress,Ramadan is almost halfway to end.Have to cut off my hair. It's been cold at night, lot of breeze.
Watched The Scorpion subtitled,it was awfull, there were scenes where no subtitles! Anyway my review would be as earlier "There was a big lack of action scenes, there was more dialouge than fists and blood,i can categorize it as a safe soft movie, safe performance.I liked the blonde girl's acting and of course Clovis was diverse and great too" It was a good effort all in all,not the best fight movie but oh well it's passable!
Bucket List: Is an oddly funny, thoughtful, warm movie starring two elite actors,Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman.I couldn't help but to notice how cute and charming was Jack throughout the film.Morgan was impressing too,the picture seemed like written for both of this men which is actually true. The script was ready for two weeks and both of Jack and Morgan were in mind for the roles! This wouldn't be great if it wasn't for these two!
Silent Hill....was a movie out in 2006,heard of it when i was in Panama, people were amazed with the result. Then again in '08,i partially watched this movie with a friend i used to have, now we no longer have contact for some reasons.I hestitated lot of times in getting this but turned out to be brave enough to get it.I missed a small bit my friend because we didn't watched it all together.
Anyway what i think it was a pretty dark surreal movie.Fantastic filming.Felt it was long and complicated sometimes.....prepare to grab a pillow or a lover when watching,it's demonic and touching one!
(Thought: If that's how hell looks like, man i should go back to praying!)
There was no mystery whatsoever, just a summer scary expensive flick that was all sorted out.
Was boring,poorly-developed,pitty-dialouge,odd crappy situations.A killer who back stabs...what are we in the 80's???
You can even have sex during this,it may arouse you,Plus you won't be missing a lot.
Brittany Snow was adorable and the only cast that mattered and did well. Was happy to see Ming-Na,
i had a crush on her ever since i saw her in Street Fighter....Oh <3
"Beyond The Pale" was almost all the mini clips that i watched over Youtube yesterday lol.Gaffigan is still fun as hell."Beyond The Pale" is almost all about food jokes which is HILARIOUS!!!!!
It was a ordinary happy-ending movie.Romantic Comedy are so repeatable.Same old same old Vegas, sin city, casinos, drunk marriages.Lake Bell was great almost stealing lights.Cameron is just as awesome as always,Ashton was ok.For me,it was nothing special or impressing....
I always kinda knew who Jim Gaffigan is from movies and Tv Shows but i didn't know he was really a good comedian! I been totally watching his skits over Youtube and they are funny as hell.Im downloading one of his acts called "Beyond The Pale" which i can't wait to watch.
Took back a bit on my French classes, the internet has been boring lately emails,Facebook,Flickr,blogging...
Hope something excited or let's say "Spicey" comes my way soon! Will be watching either Silent Hill or Prom Night tonight...
à l'intérieur was bloody, bloody, bloody, bloody.I never saw a movie that made me put my hands on my head in surprise as this.(Not to mention that it left a wierd taste in my mouth when i saw the ending.)
Barbarian, strange, strong, graphic, disturbed and a big dose of gore fit the description. It may look like a small/low-budget or B-movie but don't be fooled because it's much more than that.Terrific acting sometimes odd but a true genuine horror movie....thrilling AND IN FRENCH!!
Had lunch out with harout today at McDonald's then we walked, went to his place,he invited me to ran so i changed. We walked from 5th circle to the 3rd and then ran back.Came back home, checked my emails and found out that had 245 views on the 5th of Sept. Thanks everybody, enjoy ;)
It's a modern "Lolita", a complex yet entertaining movie.Ben Kingsley makes an incredible acting just as his alongside actress Penelope Cruz which her english are getting better although casting her as hispanic/latin or spanish-speaking woman role is typical and boring. It's nothing new for me to see Penelope baring it all,she done this ever since her spanish-acting early years!
It was sexual but not raw,it was melodramatic enough to keep you guessing what can happen next!
Was able download Amos Lee's second album "Supply And Demand" and it sounds as cool and great as his first record. It has some amazing vocals, magical lyrics and peaceful melodies.....
I got it this year but it has been out in '06.He has a new one out called "Last Days At The Lodge" it was just released this April '08.I have pratially a few song but not the whole album yet....
